Beijing time on September 03 news, China touch screen network news, South Korea hydrogen fluoride passed the test! LGD has been introduced into the OLED production line, Samsung? LG Display has completed testing of high-purity hydrogen fluoride produced in Korea and has begun to use it in OLED panel production.

According to industry sources, LG Display recently completed the final test of high-purity hydrogen fluoride supplied by a Korean company and began to use it on the production line. Korean-made hydrogen fluoride meets production and cost requirements. According to reports, LG Display has applied Korean products to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) panel production lines.

It is expected that Samsung Display will complete the test of domestic high-purity hydrogen fluoride in September. In view of the fact that no key issues have been identified so far, Korean local products are likely to be used for mass production immediately after the final test. Previously, Samsung Display used hydrogen fluoride from Japanese and Korean materials companies. Before the Japanese economic revenge, it has been conducting various hydrogen fluoride tests.

Unlike semiconductor production lines that use nanoscale processes, panel production does not require ultra-high purity hydrogen fluoride. Hydrogen fluoride is primarily used for wet etching to remove defective layers and clean to remove organic materials and oxides on the surface of the panel.

LG Display said on August 24 that it would take some time to test the hydrogen fluoride produced in Korea, but it was completed faster than expected. An industry official said, "The dependence on Japanese hydrogen fluoride will be greatly reduced, but ensuring the supply of ultra-high purity hydrogen fluoride is still a problem."
