Competition In The Touchscreen Industry Intensified, With Revenues Of 128.4 Billion Last Year, But Profits Fell By 40 Per Cent Year-on-year

    Beijing time 2019 / 03 / 06 news, China touch screen net news, GIS-KY (6456) announced last year's results, touch screen price got pressure, competition intensified, last year it had revenue of 128.443 billion yuan, which presented a year-on-year decrease of 1.81%, same as the year before last year. The gross profit margin dropped to 8.58%, 2.95 percentage points lower than the previous year, and it had a net after-tax profit of 3.98 billion yuan, which was annual decrease of 42.77%. It's per share earning was 11.77 yuan, for the first time since listing, the company decided to raise interest rate of 4 yuan. The share of the surplus was about 33.98 percent, at a dividend yield of 3.57 percent at the closing price of $112 yesterday (2019/03/05). The year before the comparison was completed, last year's revenue was 130.8 billion yuan and 128.4 billion yuan respectively, showing flat, and the profit performance was very different. In 2017, Apple introduced all the Mega-site,iPad Pro series models into the tablet product line into the IGZO panel. In addition, the strategy of parity products has stimulated a wave of growth. Last year, tablet computers were on the high side of the base period, and mainland competitors joined, resulting in potential price pressures. The unit price of new mobile phone products, ASP, was better, but the cost of raw materials was also high. It is because last year's profit was not as good as that of the year before.

    GIS-KY (6456) was listed in June 2015 and it has revenue growth for three consecutive years during  2015~2017. Its earnings showed a growing trend, showing earnings per share of 7.44 yuan, 9.39 yuan and 21.46 yuan, with dividends of 3 yuan, 4 yuan, 9 yuan per share, 40%, 42%, and 41.93% of the earnings, Last year's earnings per share were $11.77, with an interest rate of $4, representing a distribution rate of about 33.98 percent, down from 40 percent in the past three years. The first quarter was a traditional off-season, with major customers starting to adjust inventories and being affected by seasonal factors, with corporate estimates that GIS-KY (6456) lost about 50 percent of its first-quarter revenue in the first quarter.
